THE UNCLEAN WORLD - 1903

Court-métrage d'un des premiers cinéastes anglo-saxons, Percy Stow. Un professeur découvre de petits scarabées dans un sandwich qui s'avèrent être autre chose (une scène qu'on retrouvera dans les années 1960 dans le film danois Reptilicus). A professor eating his lunch at his work table becomes suspicious of the taste of his cheese. He puts a slice under the nearby microscope. But the crawling creatures thus revealed aren't quite what one might expect. The short is a parody of the contemporary microbe films being produced under the title of "The Unseen World" for Charles Urban, specifically of The Cheese Mites also made in 1903.
