VODYANIK aka VODYANOY aka RUSALKA

Dans la mythologie russe, le Vodyanik est une créature marine qui fait basculer les embarcations sur l'eau et cause les noyades. Il conserve l'âme des hommes qui deviennent ses esclaves, pendant que leur corps remonte a la surface. Vodyanik appears as a naked old man with a greenish beard and long hair, with his body covered in algae and muck, usually covered in black fish scales. He has webbed paws and a fish's tail but can take other forms. Local drownings are said to be the work of the vodyanoy.
